As one of the best-known and most visited villages on the Verona side of the lake, Bardolino has a variety of high-quality attractions, enchanting its numerous visitors. Like in the case of other villages on Lake Garda, there are traces of very ancient settlements, which constitute further evidence of a very favorable territorial and climatic mixture.
The name of Bardolino is famous in the world for its namesake wine, obtained from vineyards growing on the morenic hills leading down to the lake. There are numerous events which take place in the village, from the month of May onwards, first with the Festa del Chiaretto (rosé festival), and then moving on to the Thriatlon championship in June, to conclude with the novello wine festival in November.
